Kristen & Dakota = Queens of Noise?

Has anyone else been eagerly following this movie that's currently being filmed about the Runaways? (The Runaways, for those of you uninformed and/or too lazy to click the link, were an awesome '70s girl band featuring such eventual rock & roll luminaries as Joan Jett.)  Here's a video of the girls performing their signature song, "Cherry Bomb," in Japan in 1977:

Pretty awesome, right? Lead singer Cherie Currie was described by a journalist as "the lost daughter of Iggy Pop and Brigitte Bardot," and that about sums it up, in my opinion. Now picture Dakota Fanning belting out those lyrics. Yes, Dakota Fanning! She's 15 now, and has been cast as Currie - with Kristen Stewart playing Joan Jett (still one of the coolest women alive). Sounds crazy, right? Well, check out this shot of the two in costume:

Ch-ch-ch-ch-CHERRY BOMB!

I love it! They look amazing. The hair, the clothes...especially the clothes. Check out Dakota's boots! Kristen's leather pants! Kristen's mullet! Another reason to be excited for this movie: It's being directed by Floria Sigismondi, who has been at the helm of a number of  visually interesting music videos (i.e., "Blue Orchid" by the White Stripes). I have high hopes. What do you think?
