I'm on a desperate concealer quest, and I am finally coming to terms with the fact that, like Velma Kelly, I just can't do it alone. This is serious business, ladies, so here it goes: What's your favorite concealer?
My concealer needs are primarily centered around covering up the dark circles under my eyes. Since I'm in a band (and, in general, I have a lot in common with insomniacs, vampires and night owls of every stripe), there are a lot of late nights around here. And, surprise surprise, I don't always wake up looking fresh as a daisy the next morning. The ideal product would also be able to handle blemishes every now and again, so I would prefer a multitasker to something intended solely for the eyes, although if it's truly incredible, I will gladly make an exception.
Here are my feelings on the two most recent concealers I've experimented with:
- Neutrogena's Mineral Sheers Concealer Kit: Love the product, but there's way too little in the pot!
- Max Factor's Pan-Stik: Creamy and heavy enough to deal with my undereye area, but since the first ingredient is mineral oil, way too heavy for my skin
I've been sticking with drugstore products so far, because I have a fairly limited beauty budget at the moment, but I realized the other day that, with the amount I've spent on 3 or 4 different mediocre concealers, I could've easily purchased one truly great high-end product. So I'm ready to take the plunge - I just don't know what that "truly great" product that deserves my hard-earned cash is just yet! So here's your chance: Write a little love letter to your favorite concealer in the comments. My tired eyes and I will be eternally grateful!
(By the way, if your fave does happen to be from the drugstore, so much the better! I just don't want to automatically limit my search to $15-and-under options anymore.)

Cle De Peau Concealer is the best.
Named Best Undereye Concealer in InStyle magazine's "Best of Beauty" (April 2009 issue, p194).
Thanks, Anonymous! I have to admit that I balked at the $80+ price tag (!!!), but if it's a life-changer, I just may have to think about it...
